Old-timers and new-comers alike are welcome to the (almost) annual Thanksgiving Dinner in the parish hall at Grace Church immediately following the 10:30 am service on Sunday, November 19th. We have celebrated Thanksgiving dinner together for nearly 30 years. Here is how it works: A small committee prepares turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes and provides rolls and butter, cranberry sauce, beverages for everyone. Parishioners - a family or couple of friends - provide a dish of vegetable to pass OR a traditional pie to be cut & served. The vegetables can be sweet potatoes or any other vegetable, something that would be part of traditional dinner. It needs to be prepared ahead and easy to serve, any favorite as Brussels sprouts, green beans, peas, spinach, etc.
The parish hall will be set up on Saturday, Nov. 18 by volunteers. We would welcome help at 10:30 am and with 4-5 people can be done in an hour. This is a fun event; it is free to all, though we welcome those who wish to sponsor a table at $20.
