Evan de Jong is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Organ Performance and Musicology at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Oberlin, Ohio, studying with Dr. Jonathan Moyer. Before his studies at Oberlin, Evan studied organ with Dr. Dennis Northway and Dr. Kipp Cortez. Evan has also studied organ with Dr. Hans Davidsson and harpsichord with Dr. Mark Edwards and Dr. Lisa Goode Crawford.
A longtime member of Grace, Evan has served as interim organist at Christ Church Episcopal in Oberlin, Ohio, and as organist of First United Methodist Church in Elyria, Ohio.
Evan is particularly interested in early music, especially the music of the seventeenth century.
