The Schola Choir
The Schola Choir, ages 5 to 9, enjoys exploratory music, making in a stress-free environment! They learn basic music notation, pitch, rhythm, community singing, and songs in a multitude of languages from both the sacred and secular canons. Schola meets 4:15pm-5:00pm on Fridays during the academic year.
The Madrigal Choir
The Madrigal Choir, consisting of kids ages 10 to 18, learns diverse musical repertoire in at least 4-part harmony of both sacred and secular nature. They regularly sing for Graces' Sunday services once a month and learn difficult music at a fast pace. The main event for them takes place at the beginning of January, the Boar's Head at Twelfth Night, a spectacle production with food, drink, skits, and song! Other outreach opportunities include singing at the Joffrey Ballet for the Nutcracker and at Rockefeller Memorial Chapel for Evensong worship. Madrigals meets 1:00-2:30pm on Sundays during the academic year.
