A Gentle Evening of Scripture & Supper

Join us on Tuesday, October 7 at 6:30pm as we begin a new monthly gathering at Grace: Lectio Divina or "divine reading" —the ancient practice of prayerful, meditative scripture reading. Together, we’ll slow down, listen deeply, and open ourselves to an intimate encounter with God through His Word.

Each gathering will start with a time of fellowship as we break bread and enjoy a simple soup supper together. Following that we will be guided through the four movements of Lectio Divina—Lectio (reading), Meditatio (meditation), Oratio (prayer), and Contemplatio (contemplation)— where one reads a short passage of scripture slowly and repeatedly, reflects on its personal meaning, responds to God in prayer, and then rests in God's loving presence.
